President

MARCOS GALINDO

Politologist, third-generation agave grower, and spokesperson in the industry. Husband, father of three small children, and proud vaquero. Co-founder of Nebulosa project in 2013, an ecosystem of gastronomy and nature conservation initiatives in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains of Jalisco in which Jardin Nebulosa highlights as a top 200 restaurant in the country, awarded by Gastronomica Mexicana for three years in a row.  Marcos also co-founded Tequila La Dama. An organic, artisanal, critically acclaimed tequila brand that sells in Europe and Australia.

Marco’s biggest dream is to bring awareness to the world around the critical importance of sustainable practices like biodynamics and regenerative methods in agriculture, the importance of environmental ethics, and bringing back ethnobotanical knowledge into processes like tequila making.

MARTIN KOVAR

A globally recognized specialist in the F&B industry, he was a consultant for major brands from London to Dubai for several years before becoming the co-founder of Nebulosa, tequila La Dama and now Rancho Altos.

DIEGO CAMPOS

An Industrial Engineer, Operations, Project Manager, and co-founder of Pachuco, a distribution company focused on sourcing the best spirits in Mexico and supporting small producers to tell their stories. Feeling most at home in nature, Diego dives deep into study including ancient culture, energy work, and meditation. He loves extreme sports and enjoys producing events. He is an active citizen in all areas of his life and work and is excited about co-creating the Rancho Altos project as a founding partner. 

The quest Diego has is to remain curious, evolve, and be a catalyst for others in their human journey.

JOSÉ MARIA ANGUIANO

A global leader in agricultural sustainability, researcher, and innovator in the biodynamic, regenerative and organic agriculture sector, invited lecturer in institutions like Harvard and Oxford, respected for being responsible for some of the largest scale projects involving sustainable agriculture methodologies in North and South America.

A key figure in the global architecture and design culture, Esrawe has achieved in his career the highest accolades possible, the likes of being awarded best design studio in the world several times and his buildings being awarded best in their category by countless institutions.

FRANCISCO PARDO

In 2016 he founded the studio Francisco Pardo Arquitecto in Mexico City, and received the title of -Emerging Voices- from the Architectural League of New York, subsequently, he received on two occasions the medal for the best residential building at the Biennial of Mexican Architecture.

His office was named by London’s Wallpaper magazine as one of the 50 most important and influential young offices in the world and was selected by the English magazine Icon, as one of the fifty design and architecture firms that are shaping the future. His work has been published and exhibited internationally.

Architecture

Victor Valverde, Miguel Valverde and Daniel Villanueva

V Taller was founded by Daniel Villanueva and Miguel Valverde, architects from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente. Their approach as architects is aimed at designing spaces where architecture connects with its immediate context. Proposing meeting points that allow nature and time to take ownership of each project, making the natural context the main motif of each experience. 


Their projects include Babel, a holistic residential complex in Tulum, Hotel El Puertecito in Oaxaca, Hato Restaurant in Guadalajara, and School and Terrace for the Rancho Altos project, as well as different international residential projects in British Columbia and Colombia.

Culinary Experience Director

Juan Pablo Loza

Originally from Xochimilco, Mexico City, lover of culture and nature. Throughout his professional career as Chef and Director of Culinary Operations, Juan Pablo has created and developed different concepts and projects that have been recognized internationally. The most recent of them is Zapote Bar at Rosewood Mayakoba, awarded as the best opening of 2021 and #11 in the list of the 50 best bars in North America. 

Juan Pablo’s interest in supporting the community and the environment has led him to create and participate in initiatives such as #pescaconFuturo that promote sustainability and responsibility from and towards the community for the planet. Taking and sharing his ideas at international Summits, he is currently helping replicate the sustainable fishing project in Chile and Peru.

General Administration

ANDREA SANTOYO

Bachelor in administration and international trade in a prestigious Mexican university, she has handled all administrative and logistics tasks in Tequila La Dama, our most precious and trusted administrator, she will act as our experienced chief financial office.

Director of Construction

MANUEL SAINZ

Civil Engineer with family roots in Altos, Manuel has been one of the key figures in the most impactful Mexican hospitality and infrastructure developments for over a decade with roles such as national director of construction for the largest hospitality group in Latin America, Grupo Vidanta, to large scale developments for Hilton and Grupo Posadas, among others.

Director of Tequila production

ALBERTO RAMÍREZ

Inventor and biochemist with more than 30 years of experience in the tequila industry, he worked for the likes of Tequila Patrón and Don Julio, he co-created the only technically viable solution to the water contamination problem tequila has ( vinasas ), he is our Tequila Factory director and will help us create the world’s most sustainable tequila making process and facility.

Community Agriculture Manager

VICENTE LÓPEZ

Born in an indigenous community in the mountains of Oaxaca, Vicente has always had big dreams, he graduated as an agricultural engineer from the prestigious Chapingo University, responsible for our agave agricultural program.

Natural Landscaping Specialist

SALVADOR GALINDO

Agricultural Engineer with over 35 years of experience in landscaping design, an artist in creating spaces, he has worked exclusively for the last two decades with Mexico’s largest hospitality company.

DON JUAN TRUJILLO

Don Juan started working in the agave fields when he was a mere 10 years old and he is now on his 50th year of agave mastery. Over the years he has worked with the leading tequila producers in the world, experience that has gifted him with countless historical legends to be told.

Flora and Fauna Specialist

MÓNICA RIVAS

A botanist, she is the director of scientific research focused on the sustainability and biological preservation of Proyecto Nebulosa and Haraveri Botanical Garden. She will be focused on the research and scientific publications made from our botanical agave fields.

Audio-visual Communication

Regis Casillas

Regis has carried out a career of more than 19 years as a creative and documentary filmmaker on environmental, conservation, and social-oriented projects, many of them screened and awarded at prestigious film festivals in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. As audio-visual director, Regis will give shape and assertiveness to the communication of Rancho Altos.

Jossie Ayón

Jossie is a cultural journalist and writer. Upon living in different cities in Mexico and Europe, she found her base back home in Puerto Vallarta – where she delights in daily inspirations. Founder of Veinticuatro, a digital portfolio, she fully embraces her work. Diving deep into engaging stories that balance research with art, tradition, and nature. Jossie will be collaborating as editor and writer for Rancho Altosí journal and online content.
